According to the report of Unilad website, this case is from Salt Lake Utah, USA. Vanner and Donna Johnson already had a son. They wanted to become parents again. In 2007, they planned to have a child through IVF treatment. Both of them had a son and they were very happy. Time started passing. The couple discovered the shocking truth
The result was shocking because the younger son and the elder son were proved to be half brothers. The mother of both was Donna, but the father of the younger son was not Vanner. They were shocked to see this. They got another DNA test done which gave the same result. Then they came to know that there must have been a mistake in IVF. It happened that some other person’s sperm was used in IVF, due to which Donna got pregnant. Both the husband and wife were very sad about this. When they told their son about this, it took him some time to understand, but he showed understanding and understood the things.
case filed against the hospital
The couple started searching for the real father of their son and after a lot of research and tests, they came to know that the man’s name was Devin. Devin revealed that he and his wife had also undergone IVF. Both the couples were at the clinic on the same day, where they had undergone IVF and at that time this problem occurred. Gradually both the families became friends. They decided that they would raise their voice against this. They filed a case against the University of Utah Center for Reproductive Medicine and settled out of court in 2022.
