Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana announced in 2024-25, provision of Rs 2000 crore under this head

New Delhi. In the election year, Delhi government has given a big gift to women. Women will now get an honorarium of Rs 1000 every month. For this, Delhi government has come up with Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana in the budget. Under this, women above 18 years of age will get its benefit. The government believes that this will not only fulfill their need for books, it will also provide relief to those who want to take coaching for their studies. Not only this, they will not need to lend to anyone for personal expenses.
In her first budget, Finance Minister Atishi kept women in focus. In the budget proposal, the government has brought the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana in 2024-25. A provision of Rs 2000 crore has been made under this item. Under this, half the population will be empowered. Atishi expressed confidence that all Delhiites will get the blessings of Lord Ram due to the efforts made for the safety and respect of women of Delhi. In the budget speech on Ram Rajya, Atishi further said that in our families, when a daughter or sister comes home from her in-laws’ house, her elder brother or father hands her money so that she can buy the things she needs. Now they will not need to extend their hands to anyone. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has come up with this scheme while fulfilling his duty of being an elder brother and son.
Free bus travel will continue
A provision of Rs 340 crore has been made in the financial year 2024-25 to continue the scheme of free travel for women in DTC and cluster buses through ‘Pink Tickets’. Rs 6,216 crore has been proposed for all these schemes of the Kejriwal government dedicated to social upliftment and women empowerment.
Who will get the benefit of the scheme?
, Every woman above 18 years of age will get an amount of Rs 1000 per month.

, A woman eligible for the scheme will have to fill a form and give a self-declaration that she is not a part of any government scheme, is not a government employee and is not an income tax payer.
