12 Members Of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Resign AICC Intervenes To End Discord


Telangana Congress: Following the resignation of more than 10 members of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary Nadeem Javed on Monday started efforts to end the infighting in the state unit. Some senior leaders of the State Congress had recently said that importance is being given to those coming to the party from other parties. After his statement, more than 10 members of PCC had resigned.

Party sources said Javed is talking to both the camps in an effort to resolve the issue. Sources hoped that the matter would be resolved soon. Congress MLA D. Anasuya (Sithakka) and former MLA Vem Narendra Reddy are among those who resigned from the State Congress Committee on Sunday.

TDP leaders joined Congress

Former Deputy Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh, Damodar Rajnarasingha, on Saturday said that if those coming to the Congress from other parties are given due consideration in the party, regarding some former leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) joining the Congress, it will “ What message will go among the original Congress workers”.

Poor performance of Congress in the by-elections

On Sunday, Reddy did not directly answer the questions of journalists regarding the infighting. He said that the party high command will look into all these issues. After the poor performance of the Congress in the recent Munugode assembly by-election, internal discord has been witnessed in the state unit of the party.
