Hathras reserved Lok Sabha seat, on the last day on April 19, seven party and independent candidates filed nomination papers. So far 18 party and independent candidates have filed nominations here. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on April 20.

In view of the filing of nominations, there were tight security arrangements around the Collectorate and within a radius of 200 meters since the morning of 19th April. Only five candidates and their five proposers could enter the Collectorate for nomination. The administration has received 18 nomination forms of party and independent candidates for the Lok Sabha seat.

Nomination on 15th April

SP candidate Jasveer Valmiki, resident of Deoband district, Saharanpur, Ghanshyam Singh, resident of Baraula Bypass Road, Aligarh, from Swaraj Bharatiya Nyaya Party, Jaipal, resident of village Raghania, had filed nomination as independent candidates.

Nomination on 16th April

BJP candidate Anup Valmiki and Rashtriya Uday Party’s Jaiveer Singh had also filed nominations.

Nomination on 18th April

Hem Babu Dhangar from BSP, Hariprakash Arya resident of village Pathra post May Chandausi district Sambhal from BSP, independent candidate Dinesh Sai resident of Khandari Garhi, street number-3 Hathras, Jai Jawan Kisan Naujawan from Constitution Party Bahadur Singh resident of Dariyapur Hathras, independent candidate Rajpal Resident of Hastapur Iglas Aligarh, Rajendra Kumar from Fundamental Rights Party, resident of Jatanpur Aligarh had filed nomination.

Nomination on 19th April

Rajesh son of Boran Singh resident of village Dedamai Hathras from Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal, Ravi Kumar son of Deendayal resident of Padav Dubey Peer Aligarh from Bahujan Mukti Party, Jaiprakash Bharti son of Pyarelal resident of village Bada Ahiyapur Kalan Hathras as independent candidate, Harswaroop Singh from Sarpanch Samaj Party. As an independent candidate, son of Natthi Lal Jatav, resident of Geegla Hathras, Munnalal, son of Ramjilal, resident of village Bijahari, as an independent candidate, Shubham, son of Jasveer, resident of town Deoband, district Saharanpur, as an independent candidate, Devdutt Dayal, son of Babulal, resident of village Nagla Mewa Nagla Umaid, filed nomination as an independent candidate. So voting will be done with two EVMs

16 candidates are recorded in the ballot unit of an EVM. 18 candidates have filed nominations for the third phase of elections to be held in Hathras district. Now the important question before the administration is that if the nomination forms of all the candidates are found correct and no candidate withdraws the nomination, then the voting process will have to be completed through two ballot units.
