The faster education is becoming expensive, the faster its reach to the children is also decreasing. As such, there is a huge shortage of teachers across the country, but if we talk about Himachal Pradesh alone, the posts of about 12 thousand teachers are vacant here. Even now the state government has de-notified 286 primary and secondary schools in the state. This means that now these schools will be closed, including 228 primary and secondary schools. However, the decision to close them has been taken due to zero enrollment of students.
There are no teachers in the schools
Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur gave a statement in this regard on Sunday. Talking to the media, he said that there are about 3 thousand such schools in the state in which only one teacher is present. Whereas, there are 455 such schools which are being run on the basis of deputation of teachers. You will be surprised to know that currently 12 thousand posts are vacant in the state. On the other hand, talking about the total number of schools in the state, it is 15,313.
Which schools will be closed
The Education Minister says that the state government will close only those schools where the rules are not followed properly. Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur says that it is necessary to have at least 10 students for any primary, 15 for middle, 20 for higher, 25 for higher secondary schools and 65 for colleges. If students are not found in schools and colleges according to the prescribed standards and these schools and colleges do not match the prescribed criteria, then these schools and colleges will be closed. However, let us tell you that these parameters are only for this state, because the rules in the national parameters are different from this.
