3 AAP councilors join BJP in Chandigarh, political stir intensifies before SC hearing on mayor election


Chandigarh AAP Councilors Join BJP: Three Aam Aadmi Party Chandigarh councilors Poonam Devi, Neha Musawat and Gurcharan Kala joined BJP in the presence of party’s national general secretary Vinod Tawde in Delhi. The three councilors met BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde. Vinod Tawde is also in-charge of Chandigarh Mayor elections. With this, AAP has suffered a major setback before the hearing in the case of rigging in the Mayor elections.

It is being reported from sources that some more councilors of Aam Aadmi Party and Congress in Chandigarh are also in touch with BJP. Some more people may join BJP in the coming time.

Neha Musawat accuses Aam Aadmi Party of making false promises

Leader Musawat has been a councilor from Chandigarh Aam Aadmi Party. His statement has come after joining BJP. Neha Musawat says, ‘I was given a false promise by the Aam Aadmi Party that I have been made the mayor candidate. I was considered the most educated candidate for the post of Mayor, but when the time came, they declared someone else as the candidate. Today, I am joining BJP after being impressed by the work done by Prime Minister Modi for the welfare of the poor and Dalits.

Poonam Devi, who joined BJP, said, ‘I have joined BJP inspired by the work of PM Modi. I have left AAP because it is a fake party.

‘Belonged to BJP and will remain in BJP only’- Gurucharan Kala
Gurucharan Kala, who joined BJP, said, “I belonged to BJP and will remain in BJP. I have joined the party inspired by the works of PM Modi.”

Meanwhile, on AAP councilors joining BJP, party’s national general secretary Vinod Tawde said that Chandigarh councilors Poonam Devi, Neha Musawat, Gurcharan Kala have joined BJP today. He is unhappy with his party’s behavior towards him. BJP will respect them and they will help in development.
