Aligarh Muslim University has launched 31 new courses for the academic session 2024-25. Out of the 31 courses starting from July 22, 28 courses will be of 12 weeks duration and 3 courses will be completed in 8 weeks.

The courses cover various subjects including Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Wildlife Science, Forensic Medicine, Commerce, Economics, English, Geography, Public Administration, Sociology, Political Science, Library and Information Science, Law, Psychology, Urdu, Hindi and Sunni Theology.

These have been designed keeping in mind the needs of learners across the country. These courses have been developed by the Department of Computer Science, AMU in collaboration with NPTEL, IIT Madras. Funded by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. These courses are available on the Swayam portal https://swayam.gov.in/INI These have been launched on the website. They are available for free enrollment. The university’s Swayam coordinator Prof. Asim Zafar said that students of any university can enroll in these online courses according to their needs.
