Odisha News: The Odisha Police has suspended five officers, including the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Bharatpur police station, for allegedly assaulting and harassing an Indian Army officer and his fiancée.
In an official statement, Odisha Police confirmed the suspension of IIC Dinakrishna Mishra, Sub-Inspector Baisalini Panda, Assistant Sub-Inspectors Salilamayi Sahu and Sagarika Rath, and Constable Balram Handa. The statement said that while this order is in force, all these policemen will remain under the disciplinary control of the Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack. They will get allowance (SA) and dearness allowance (DA) under Rule 90 of the Odisha Service Code.
