51 Muslims Pass in UPSC 2023 Merit List 5 Make it to Top 100


51 Muslim candidates have made their place in the merit list of this year’s UPSC Civil Services Examination, out of which five candidates are included in the top 100. This is the result of hard work and dedication of the candidates. The names of these five candidates are Ruhani, Nausheen, Wardah Khan, Zufishan Haq and Fabi Rashid, all five of them have made it to the top 100 with their hard work. This success inspires not only his community but the entire country. This tells us that if intentions are strong and hard work is done then success is definitely achieved.

  • 2022: 2,529 candidates were successful in UPSC Prelims and Mains examination, of which 83 were Muslims. Ultimately, 933 candidates were selected for IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS and other services, which included 30 Muslims.
  • 2021: 1,823 candidates passed this year’s Mains examination and were called for interview. The names of 685 candidates were in the final merit list, out of which 21 were Muslim candidates. This was the weakest performance of Muslim candidates in the last ten years.
  • 2020: This year, UPSC recommended 761 candidates for various top services which included 31 Muslims.
  • 2019 and 2018: In 2019, 42 Muslims passed the exam whereas in 2018 only 27 Muslims were successful.
  • 2016 and 2017: These two years for Muslim candidates It was very good for him. In 2016, 52 Muslim candidates and in 2017, 50 Muslim candidates achieved success.
  • 2015 and 2014: 34 Muslims out of 1,078 candidates in 2015 and 38 Muslims out of 1,236 candidates in 2014 were successful.
  • In 2013, 34 Muslim candidates passed the exam.
  • In 2012, 30 Muslims were successful, of which four made it to the top 100.
  • In 2011, 31 Muslim candidates were selected.
  • In 2010, 21 out of 875 Muslims passed, with Dr Shah Faisal standing first in the examination.
  • In 2009, 31 Muslim candidates were successful.

RCA result this year

This year, 31 candidates who studied from the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) have made it to the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023. This time 8 more candidates have been elected compared to last year. This time 71 students appeared for interview, out of which 31 were selected. Some of them are expected to get Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service, and the rest will get other services. A student named Nausheen has secured ninth rank and has become the top performer of this year.
