90 Percent Subsidy On Tuberose, Marigold And Spices Cultivation Under National Agriculture Development Scheme


Subsidy on Spices Cultivation: The trend of horticulture crops is increasing in the country. These crops, which are grown in less time and at less cost, are playing an important role in increasing the income of the farmers. Then farmers have also started mixing horticulture crops with traditional crops, so that additional income can be taken. Governments are also giving technical financial assistance to the farmers in this work. In this episode, the farmers of UP are being connected with the government’s National Agriculture Development Scheme and Horticulture Development Scheme. In order to increase the income of farmers in Shamli district, a provision of grant has been made for the cultivation of selected fruits, vegetables, flowers and spices. Orders have been issued to the Horticulture Department to make its benefits available to maximum number of farmers.

Will get profit on cultivation of these crops
In addition to wheat and sugarcane, motivating farmers to cultivate other crops is also an important goal of the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana, by which farmers of every category are benefited from time to time.

Under the National Agricultural Development Scheme, farmers are given financial assistance for the cultivation of guava, litchi, capsicum, pumpkin, onion, garlic, chili, tuberose, marigold, while under the Horticulture Development Scheme, pumpkin, onion, garlic, chili, spice Scheduled caste and tribe farmers have been added for the cultivation of coriander, marigold, vegetables.

How much grant will be given for which crop?
In order to reduce the cost of cultivation along with increasing the production of horticulture crops, grants are being given at different rates on different crops under the National Agricultural Development Scheme and Horticulture Development Scheme.

National Agriculture Development Plan
Up to 50 percent subsidy will be given on the fixed cost of Rs 25,500 per hectare for mango horticulture. Farmers will get this money in 3 installments, in which the first installment will be Rs 7,650, the second installment Rs 3,834 and the third year Rs 22,500.

The estimated cost per hectare for guava plantation has been fixed at Rs 38,340, on which 50% subsidy amount will be given to the farmer in 3 installments. There is a provision of grant of Rs 11,502 in the first year, Rs 3,834 in the second year and third year.

Farmers doing litchi gardening will be given 50 percent discount on the estimated cost of Rs 28,000 per hectare. This money will be available in three installments, in which there is a provision of grant of Rs 8,400 in the first year, Rs 2,800 in the second year and third year.

The cost per hectare for cultivation of capsicum, hybrid vegetables and pumpkin is estimated at Rs 50,000, on applying for which the farmer will get 40 per cent i.e. Rs 20,000 grant. A cost of Rs 30,000 per hectare has been fixed for the cultivation of spices including onions, garlic, chillies, on which the farmer will be given 40% subsidy i.e. Rs 12,000.

The per hectare cost of Rajnigandha cultivation is estimated at Rs 1 lakh, on which there is a provision of 40% subsidy to small-marginal farmers and 25% subsidy to general category farmers. The cost of marigold cultivation is estimated at Rs 40,000 per hectare, on which small-marginal farmers will get 40% subsidy and general category farmers will get 25% subsidy.

Horticulture Development Plan
To increase the area under cultivation of hybrid vegetables and pumpkin, farmers will be given 75 per cent subsidy at an expense of Rs 50,000 per hectare. On the other hand, there is a provision of 90% subsidy on the cost of Rs 30,000 for the cultivation of other spices including onion, garlic, chilli, coriander. For the production of vegetables, a cost of Rs 4,000 per hectare has been fixed, on which 90 percent subsidy will be given to the farmers.
