The Prime Minister Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan will be run by the central government. This scheme has been started especially to improve the socio-economic conditions of the weaker tribal groups.

Under this, Jharkhand government has recently opened 91 new Anganwadi centres in tribal dominated areas of the state. These will be opened in 11 districts of the state. For which 40 percent of the cost will be borne by the state government while the other 60 percent will be borne by the central government. Anganwadi centers will be opened in these districts

Under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan, the Jharkhand government will provide benefits to the tribals in 11 districts of the state. Anganwadis will be opened jointly by the Central Government and the State Government in tribal dominated areas. These Anganwadi centres will be opened in Latehar, Ranchi, Lohardaga, Chatra, Dumka, Palamu, Jamtara, Saraikela Kharsawan, East Singhbhum and West Singhbhum.

One worker and one assistant will be appointed in each of these centers. Every year the government will spend Rs 1.64 crore on these 91 centers. According to the information given by the government, initially these Anganwadi centers will be run on rent. After this, new buildings will be constructed for Anganwadi centers. Along with this, the government in Jharkhand has also announced to give money for cylinder refilling in all the Anganwadi centers running in the state.

These facilities will be available in Anganwadi centers

In Anganwadi, women are given Rs 2,500 every month from the birth of their children till they are 10 years old. Apart from this, pregnant women are given 3 kg wheat and 1 kg gram dal every month. Children are given 2 kg wheat and 1 kg gram dal. Along with this, day care facility is also provided for children in Anganwadi.

Working mothers can leave their children above 6 months of age here and go to work. Primary and Montessori education for children between 2 and 10 years is also arranged by Anganwadi centres. Apart from this, facilities for vaccination and health check-up are also available in Anganwadi. Along with this, complete arrangements for nutritious food are also made for children in Anganwadi centres.
