In Samastipur, Bihar, an uncontrolled truck hit a couple riding a scooter and then broke the railing and hung on the bridge. The husband and wife were seriously injured. It was a matter of luck that the truck did not fall down, otherwise many Kanwadis could have lost their lives.
ASP Sanjay Pandey and Sadar SDO Dilip Kumar, who reached the spot, said that the condition of businessman Deepak Sharma and his wife Sushma Sharma is serious and they have been referred to PMC. A crowd of people gathered at the spot.
The businessman was returning home with his wife
According to the information, Deepak Sharma, a hardware businessman living near Mohanpur Nakku Sthan, was returning home from the market late at night with his wife. But due to the crowd of Kanwariyas on the Thaneshwar bridge, he was crossing the over bridge when a truck coming from behind hit him, due to which this accident happened and the truck broke the railing and got stuck on the bridge. After which there was chaos among the people going under the bridge.
Police said that at present the road has been blocked and the truck has been seized from the spot.
Couple trapped under the truck near the wheel
After the accident, the couple got stuck under the truck near the wheels. After which they were taken out and taken to Sadar Hospital. Where, seeing the critical condition of both, they were referred to PMCH. The family members left for PMCH with the couple at night itself.
A large number of devotees could have lost their lives
At the time of the accident, Kanwariyas were going for Jalabhishek near Thaneshwar Sthan temple. It was fortunate that the truck got stuck on the bridge after breaking the railing, otherwise a large number of Kanwariyas could have lost their lives.
