The election of Hathras District Bar Association is to be held on August 30. For this, the Chief Election Officer has announced the election program. The nomination process for various posts will start from August 20.
Chief Election Officer Senior Advocate Rakesh Kumar Sharma has informed that nominations for the District Bar Association elections will be held from 20 August to 22 August from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm. Scrutiny of nomination papers and consideration of objections will be done on 23 August. Candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on 23 August. Nomination fee will not be refunded to the candidates who withdraw their nominations.
The date of election will be 30th August from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and the counting of votes will start at 4:30 pm on the same day. The Chief Election Officer has clarified that only those members will be eligible to contest the election of the District Bar Association who have been regularly practicing law for two consecutive years. It will be mandatory for them to be members of the District Bar Association.
