In Haryana, golgappa is called ‘Pani Patashi’. The life of foodies is in golgappa. Dharmendra has been putting up a cart in the name of Gyan Chart Bhandar at Ballabhgarh’s Gurjar Chowk for the last 5 years in Ballabhgarh’s Ballabhgarh. Earlier, Dharmendra used to put up his cart at Ballabhgarh Aggarwal Dharamshala and now he puts it up at Ballabhgarh’s Gujjar Chowk. The Pani Puri here is so tasty that there is a crowd of people every day.
It has been people’s favorite place for 35 years
Dharmendra told Local18 that this is our street vendor named Gyan Chart Bhandar. My father started this work 35 years ago. However, now after my father, Dharmendra told that we are running this shop. Earlier, father used to set up this shop at Ballabhgarh Agarwal Dharamshala. Currently, we have set it up at Gujjar Chowk for the last 5 years. Customers come to us from far and wide. Customers come to this shop from Palwal, Gochhi, Old Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Ghaziabad, Delhi and everywhere else. Dharmendra told that we make all the items at home. I do not use any outside item. 500 plates of golgappas are sold every day. Dharmendra told that all the customers who come to us are fond of the taste of golgappas and the water has a different taste.
This is how you prepare water
The water has tamarind, khatta, salt, chilli, cumin, mint, green coriander, boondi. We mix all these things in the water. We have three types of water. Golgappas are made of semolina and atta. Apart from golgappas, we also have tikki and samosas. Dharmendra told that we set up the cart from 2:00 pm to 8:30 pm. We give people the taste, that is why customers come to our shop from far away.
Dharmendra said that this shop is named after my father. My father’s name is Gyan. Dharmendra said that when my father started Golgappa 35 years ago, the rate of Golgappa at that time was 35 years ago, my father used to sell four Golgappa for 1 rupee and now I am selling four Golgappa for 10 rupees. 35 years ago, my father used to sell one tikki for 2 rupees. Today that tikki is for 20 rupees. My entire household expenses are being met from this.

Whenever I pass by here, I definitely eat golgappas. The taste of their water is amazing. Whenever I come, there is often a crowd. My turn comes after a long time. Ajay Kumar also told that apart from golgappas, they also make good tikki and papdi. Customer Satnam Singh said that their golgappas are very tasty. The whole taste is of the water. Satnam Singh said that I have been coming to this shop for 12 years. The quality here is good.
