A video of Ramgarh Referral Hospital in Kaimur district has surfaced which raises questions on the system itself. When a pregnant woman could not get an ambulance to reach the hospital, she reached the hospital with her husband on a handcart.
The limit was crossed when the woman did not get an ambulance even after delivery, so she went back home with her family on a cart, carrying the newborn in her lap. Meanwhile, in the whole case, Mohania SDM Rakesh Kumar Singh said that I will investigate this matter myself. Under what circumstances this happened, the district officer will also be informed about this matter and an investigation will be done in the matter.
At present, this incident is proof that even though the government claims to spend crores of rupees on health facilities, the ground reality is something else. On one hand, the government is spending crores of rupees to provide better facilities to the patients, on the other hand, the officers and employees of the health department are being negligent.
