In Kannauj district, a father killed his only daughter with an axe during a domestic dispute. The police have arrested the accused father and recovered the axe. The mother of the deceased has filed a report against the accused husband. The accused has been sent to jail.
Surendra Singh, a resident of Mohalla Holi in the city, is a wood contractor. His wife Lata said that late Friday night, her husband had a quarrel with their only daughter Parul (40) over some issue. During this, the husband killed the daughter by hitting her with an axe. On receiving the information, CO City Kamlesh Kumar, Inspector in-charge Jai Prakash Sharma and Kalan Chowki in-charge Ajab Singh reached the spot. Mother Lata told the police that her daughter Parul had a love marriage with Virat, a resident of Deoria district, two years ago. She had come to her mother’s house on August 11 before Raksha Bandhan.
