In the last five years, more than four thousand children under the age of five have died in the Delhi government’s Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalay. The main cause of death is sepsis, pneumonia and other diseases including septic shock. Of these, the highest number of deaths was 875 in 2019, while the lowest number of deaths was 548 in 2023. At the same time, 314 deaths occurred till June this year. During the Kovid-19 epidemic, 866 deaths occurred in 2020 and 626 in 2021. This information has come to light from the Right to Information (RTI).
