Youth dies due to electrocution

In Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, a young man who had gone to irrigate his field died of electrocution on Saturday night. An electric wire had been installed to protect maize in another farmer’s field near his field. The police have sent the body for postmortem. The deceased was married one and a half years ago.
The incident took place in Nagla Gadua village of Eka police station area. Kuldeep (26), a resident of the village, was a farmer. He had gone to irrigate the field at night. Omveer had grown maize crop in his field nearby. Omveer had installed electric wires for security.
Kuldeep was laying pipes to irrigate the field. Then he came in contact with the current in the wire. While running to save himself, his leg got stuck between the wires. He died in a few moments. Farmers working in the fields nearby reached there. They got the current cut off. Police was informed about the incident.
The police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. The family is inconsolable. The family said that the deceased was the eldest of two brothers. He was married one and a half years ago. He also has a small child. Police station in-charge Manoj Sharma said that after receiving the complaint, a case will be registered and action will be taken.
