With the change in weather, the mosquito menace has increased. On Monday, dengue has been confirmed in three people including two women. The special thing is that all three patients are from rural areas, in which two are from Kashi Vidyapeeth block while one patient is from Chiraigaon block. With this, the number of dengue patients this year has increased to 23.

Due to rain from June to September, there is a problem of waterlogging in many places. Due to this, the risk of mosquitoes increases. On Monday, a total of 632 houses were inspected by the Health Department through a campaign.

District malaria officer SC Pandey said that during this period, after finding larvae in three houses, a notice was issued and special attention was asked to be paid to cleanliness. He said that on Monday, dengue was confirmed in a 51-year-old man in Kashi Vidyapeeth block and a 61-year-old woman in Mandav in the same block.

Along with this, a 37-year-old woman from Chiraigaon has also been infected. The area around the house of the infected was cleaned and anti-larvae was sprayed. Other family members have also been advised to get tested.
