A case of the murder of a married woman by hanging has come to light on Wednesday in Parsa ward 1 of Supaul Sadar police station area. After the incident, the in-laws left the house and fled from the spot. The deceased’s parents have accused the in-laws of murder. Here, the police, who arrived after getting information about the incident, have taken the body into custody and started the paperwork. The deceased has been identified as Shabana, 22-year-old wife of Mo Asim, a resident of Parsa ward 1 of Sadar police station area. The deceased was married two years ago. She has a seven-month-old baby girl.
Shabana had opposed the illicit relationship
The deceased’s maternal home is located in Amtho Ward 08 of Sadar police station area. The deceased’s uncle, Mohd. Lukman, said that he had got his niece Shabana married to Mohd Asif two years ago. Asif works as a labourer in Surat, Gujarat. A week ago, he brought a girl home with him and started keeping her there. Shabana opposed this illegal relationship. After this, Shabana’s maternal family called a panchayat and talked about sending the girl back to Surat. After the panchayat’s decision, the girl was sent back. But, Shabana’s husband started getting angry with her over this and on Tuesday night, there was a dispute between the husband and wife over this. After this, she was hanged to death around 11-12 pm.
There was a dead body in the house, the in-laws fled
Meanwhile, the family members of Shabana came to know about this at around 1 o’clock in the night. When the family members reached Shabana’s in-laws’ house on getting the information, her body was lying on the floor of the house. All the members of the house were absconding. The police of Sadar police station was informed about this. The family members of the deceased have expressed the suspicion that Shabana was murdered because she opposed her husband’s illicit relationship. Meanwhile, Supaul Sadar SHO Arun Kumar said that a case of a woman’s death under suspicious circumstances has come to light. The body has been taken into custody and post-mortem is being done. After the report, the cause of death will be known clearly. Necessary action is being taken in the case.
