In Keshavpuram, miscreants in a car robbed a vegetable vendor. When he resisted, the miscreants beat him up and then pushed him off the flyover. The victim remained unconscious in the bushes for 24 hours. After regaining consciousness, he informed the police about the incident with the help of passersby. Police admitted the injured vegetable vendor to a nearby hospital. The victim’s spine and one leg are broken. Police registered a case on the victim’s complaint. Police identified the miscreants through CCTV footage and their car. After this, two miscreants have been arrested and the search for an absconding miscreant is on.

The victim has been identified as Dilip Kumar. He lives with his family in Keshavpuram. He has a vegetable shop in Azad Market. In a statement given to the police, the victim said that at 5 am on Thursday, he left home to buy vegetables from Azadpur Mandi. He reached near Prembari bridge on foot, from where he was going to Azadpur by e-rickshaw. Meanwhile, a car came from behind and stopped near him. There were three youths in the car. After getting down from the car, the miscreants started snatching things from him. When he protested, the miscreants beat him up and looted Rs 1200 and mobile phone. When he protested, the miscreants pushed him down from the flyover.

He fell unconscious as soon as he fell down. After regaining consciousness after about 24 hours, he asked for help from passersby and informed the police about the incident. The police took the injured Dilip to a nearby hospital. Where investigation revealed that the victim’s spine and one leg were broken. The victim is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Keshavpuram police station started investigating the case. During the investigation, the police scanned the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident spot, from which the police got the number of the miscreants’ car.

Police reached its owner Nitin of Burari through the car number and arrested him. During interrogation, he confessed his crime. On his information, police arrested the other criminal Saurav from Shalimar Bagh. Nitin told that he had got this car as dowry. Police is searching for another absconding criminal as well as investigating the criminal records of the arrested criminals.
