The body of innocent Nashra who fell into a drain in Mallahi Tola of Wazirganj in the capital Lucknow on Wednesday afternoon was found near Gomti Barrage on Sunday evening. On Saturday, the SDRF had stopped the search operation after the girl was not found for two days. On Saturday, on the request of the family, the Municipal Corporation again sent its employees into the drains from the spot to beyond to search for Nashra but was disappointed. Her body was found at Gomti Barrage on Sunday.
Let us tell you that Irfan, a resident of Mallahi Tola, works as a labourer. It was raining heavily on Wednesday afternoon at around 3:30 pm. His seven-year-old daughter Nashra, elder daughter Nazia and youngest son Ayan were playing while bathing in the rain. During this time, Nashra ran to get the ball, but due to the moss on it, her foot slipped and she fell into a big drain passing near the house. The drain joins a big drain at some distance. Nashra was swept away and fell into it.
In the search operation that followed, teams of divers and municipal corporation were also involved along with fire brigade and SDRF, but the girl could not be traced. Her body was found on Sunday at Gomti Barrage.
