: Corona Nanovaccine We have all seen the devastation caused by the corona virus. In the last few years, this virus has destroyed millions of lives. Some of those who survived this virus have suffered damage to many organs. According to research, the lungs and brain are at the greatest risk. Even today, Covid-19 has not ended. Its new variants are emerging every day.
In such a situation, researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China have created a new nanovaccine, which can protect against all major variants of Covid-19. Not only this, it is also being claimed that it can also protect against the upcoming variants of Corona.
Nanovaccine for COVID-19
Wuhan Institute is the same place where it is said that the Covid-19 virus originated. It is said that the coronavirus spread across the world from this lab. Now this lab has claimed that its vaccine can be used to prevent the infection of this virus and prevent death. According to the report of South China Morning Post, the team that created the new nanovaccine has created an Intranasal Nanoparticle Vaccine, which combines the epitopes of the coronavirus and the blood protein ferritin.
Which variants of corona will the nano vaccine protect against?
The researchers claim that their nano-vaccine can protect against several variants such as Delta, Omicron and WIV04 identified in Wuhan in 2020. A report published in a peer-reviewed journal named ACS Nano in June wrote- ‘SARS-COV-2 variants and mutations and future epidemics require a good vaccine. Our nano-vaccine targets the protected epitopes of pre-existing neutralizing antibodies. It can be a SARS-COV-2 vaccine providing protection on a large scale.’
How dangerous is COVID-19 now?
The World Health Organization (WHO) and scientists around the world investigating the origin of COVID-19 found that the virus spread from animals to humans. Last year, the head of the US intelligence department said that there was no evidence that the corona virus was created in the Chinese government’s Wuhan research lab.
In this century, apart from COVID-19 and SARS, the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) of 2003 is also a disease caused by a coronavirus, which has infected a large number of people since 2012. Researchers believe that corona virus Mutations will continue to give rise to new variants, some of which may be more dangerous and infectious and may even become a major epidemic in the future.
