Ankit Kumar is studying in Pilibhit Polytechnic. He had come home these days. He told his family that he was not feeling well so he was going to Akrabad market to get medicine. He left on his bike at four in the evening. When he did not return till late evening, his family got worried.

On the evening of 13th September, a polytechnic student who had gone to buy medicine from the market of Akrabad has been kidnapped. The family came to know about it when a video reached the father’s mobile in which the student’s hands and feet were tied. A demand of Rs. 1 lakh has also been made in the name of releasing the student. However, the father has also sent Rs. 19000 online in three installments on his son’s mobile. On getting information about the incident, many police officers including the SSP reached the spot. The student is studying in the polytechnic of Pilibhit.

Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Kelanpur village in Akarabad police station area, is a farmer by profession. His younger son, 18-year-old Ankit Kumar, is studying in Pilibhit Polytechnic. He had come home these days. On 13th September, he told his family that he was unwell and was going to Akarabad market to get medicine. He left on his bike at 4 in the evening. When he did not return till late evening, his family got worried. When they tried to contact him on his mobile, it was switched off. The family went out in search of him.

SSP reached the police station

His bike was found parked near Akarabad. But there was no news of Ankit. Around 9 o’clock in the night, a video came on Rakesh Kumar’s mobile in which his son Ankit Kumar is seen tied up in a room. Along with the video, a message of Rs 1 lakh also came. The message and video are coming from his son’s number only. Rakesh Kumar also sent 19 thousand rupees to his son’s mobile in three installments. On receiving the information, Police Captain Sanjeev Suman also reached the spot. He took information about the incident from the family members.
