Supreme Court reprimanded Solicitor General while banning bulldozer action | Where is Bulldozer Justice exempted from Supreme Court order, why did the court say this

Bulldozer Justice: After UP, the wheels of the bulldozers which have become a brand of rapid justice in all parts of the country will not move an inch without the permission of the Supreme Court. While hearing the petition of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind against the bulldozer action, the Supreme Court has ordered that the bulldozer action will not be carried out anywhere in the country without permission. During the hearing, the Jamiat argued that the bulldozer action is presented as a punishment to a particular class.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind’s lawyer Farooq Rashid said, ‘This demolition is being done in a punitive nature and these people are showing that we are doing it against a community. We are punishing them.’ However, the Supreme Court also made it clear that its order will not apply to encroachment on public roads, footpaths, railway lines and water bodies, meaning court permission will not be necessary to remove encroachment at such places.

What did the Solicitor General say?

The Solicitor General said that the ban on bulldozers will tie the hands of constitutional institutions, to which the court said that the sky will not fall down due to a ban of two weeks. Apart from this, the court has also said that the glorification of bulldozer justice should be stopped.
