On Tuesday at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, near Dhaka Madhyamik Uchcha Vidyalaya in Motihari, unknown criminals stabbed a businessman repeatedly in the middle of the city and severely injured him. The injured has been identified as Amit Kumar Singh, son of Awadhesh Singh, resident of Bhagwatpur Bhaluwahia village of Chiraiya police station area. After the attack, nearby shopkeepers hurriedly admitted the injured businessman to the subdivisional hospital Dhaka for treatment. Where his condition remains critical.

According to the information, businessman Amit Kumar Singh was doing business of solar lights in Dhaka for the last three to four years. Regarding the incident, it is being told that shopkeeper Amit was sitting at the counter of his shop. Meanwhile, a criminal came to the shop and after asking his name, took out a knife and started attacking him. During this, he was continuously attacked on many places including stomach, chest and back.

SHO Neeraj Kumar said that on receiving the information of the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigating the case. The police has also started scanning the footage of CCTV cameras to identify the culprit.

According to eyewitnesses, one of the two criminals committed the crime wearing a mask. After the incident, both the criminals fled from the spot. The reason for the incident is not known. Here, there is a lot of anger among the businessmen due to the businessman being stabbed and injured in broad daylight in the middle of the city. It is worth noting that fearless criminals are committing such incidents every day in Motihari district, which is a challenge for the police-administration.
