There was a huge uproar between two parties in Nawada over a land dispute. There was a fierce fight between the two parties. Then one party set the other party’s house on fire. Many houses were burnt to ashes in this arson. The incident took place in Krishna Nagar Dalit Basti located near Dedoor in Mufassil police station area. Administration and police officials are camping in the village till late night.

Regarding the incident, the victims say that Dalit families currently live on a large plot of land in the village. There is a dispute with the other party over the possession of this land. The case is being heard by senior officials. The victim families allege that the goons suddenly attacked them on Wednesday evening and set their houses on fire along with beating them. It is alleged that firing was also done. After receiving information about the incident, Nawada Sadar SDO Akhilesh Kumar, Nawada City Police Station Head Avinash Kumar, Nawada Zone’s Zone Officer Vikas Kumar Singh, Mufassil Police Station and Fire Brigade team reached the spot and took stock of the situation. The fire brigade team extinguished the fire. However, officials have not confirmed firing.

Regarding the incident, Zonal Officer Vikesh Kumar says that after receiving information about the arson, the fire brigade has been dispatched. He said that the plot over which the dispute has taken place is being investigated. Nandu Paswan of the nearby village Pranpur is being accused of the arson incident. Villagers say that Nandu Paswan along with his associates carried out the arson incident. Police have reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
