The troubles of the nursing officers who staged dharna, demonstration and strike demanding justice for nursing officer Khem Singh Saini who died while on duty in CCU at BHU hospital are going to increase. BHU hospital’s Deputy Registrar Dr. Rashmi Ranjan has issued a notice to the nursing officers and sought a reply.

More than 100 nursing officers from the pediatric department and other departments have been asked to respond within three days for not doing their duty from the ward to the operation theater on September 17. Here, after receiving the notice, the anger of the nursing officers has increased. They say that the district administration and the hospital administration had assured not to take any action, now the notice has been given. On this, the IMS director will appeal to the district administration.

Nursing officer Khem Singh Saini of BHU hospital died on duty in the early hours of 15 September. After this, accusing the hospital administration of negligence in duty, more than 500 nursing officers first staged a sit-in and demonstration, and then announced a strike from Monday afternoon, 16 September. This was also informed to the hospital administration before the strike.

Nursing officers left their work on Monday afternoon and sat outside the emergency gate to protest and demanded justice for Khem Singh Saini and demanded justice from the hospital administration accusing them of ignoring the rules in assigning duty in the hospital. Khem Singh Saini’s parents, wife and brother also sat in the protest.
