  • ½ cup rice
  • 1/2 cup jaggery
  • 2-3 tbsp moong dal
  • Desi Ghee
  • 4-5 raisins
  • 4-5 cashews
  • 4-5 almonds
  • Half teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 pinch nutmeg

Easy way to make Sweet Pongal

To make sweet Pongal, first fry moong dal and rice in coconut oil or ghee till they turn light brown. After this let it cool down. Now take a vessel or cooker and put rice and lentils in it. After this add 1 glass of water to it. Let it boil till two whistles come.

After this, put jaggery or jaggery powder in it. When it boils well, mix it well. Now add cardamom powder and dry fruits to it.
