On Saturday morning in Raghuveer Nagar area, a young man, angry at his girlfriend for distancing herself from him, attacked her with a knife and injured her. The accused also attacked her family members who came to intervene and fled from there. The police admitted the injured to a nearby hospital. The girl’s parents have suffered minor injuries. Khyala police station has registered a case of attempted murder on the complaint of the victim and is investigating.

The police officer said that the accused has been arrested. He has been identified as Abhishek (21), a resident of Rajouri Garden. The accused said that he was working with the girl in a salon in Rajouri Garden for a year. Friendship turned into love and both got into a relationship, but for some months the girl had distanced herself from him. This made him angry. On Saturday morning, he reached the girl’s house. While talking on this matter, they had an argument. In anger, he attacked the girl with a knife. Meanwhile, the girl’s parents tried to intervene.
