In connection with the murder of Buddha Singh, which took place 30 years ago in village Gilondpur of Mursan in Hathras, the police have registered a report at Mursan police station against his wife, two sons and a person from the same village. On September 28, samples of the deceased’s brother Mihilal and son Punjabi Singh were also taken for DNA testing. These will be matched with the DNA of the skeleton.

Punjabi Singh, resident of village Gilondapur, complained to the Superintendent of Police that his father was missing since 1994. About one and a half months ago, he had a fight with his brothers and came to know that they had murdered his father. On September 26, in the presence of police and administrative officials, the skeleton buried in the courtyard of the house was recovered.

Additional Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar said that the skeleton was recovered after digging on the complaint of Punjabi Singh. After post-mortem, a sample was taken from the skeleton for DNA testing. Samples of him and two family members are being sent for testing. On the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against Punjabi Singh’s mother Urmila Devi, brothers Mukesh and Pradeep and Rajveer of the village. He told that the named Urmila is currently living with her son Punjabi Singh. He has not been arrested yet. Investigation is being done.
