Navratri Kalash Sthapana 2024 Muhurat: The holy festival of Shardiya Navratri is starting from 3rd October 2024. This year, Mother Goddess is coming to earth riding in a palanquin (Mata ki sawari). Method of Ghatasthapana in Navratri (Navratri Ghatsthapana Vidhi)

  • First phase – First of all, spread a layer of soil in a large earthen vessel and scatter grains (seeds). Then spread a layer of soil and sprinkle some water.
  • Second phase – Now tie Kalava (Mauli) on an earthen or metal Kalash and fill Ganga water in it. Put betel nut, perfume, Durva grass, Akshat, coin in the water of the Kalash. Before covering the Kalash, place five leaves of the Ashoka tree on the mouth of the Kalash and then put the lid on it.
  • third step – Now wrap a red cloth around the coconut with coir and tie a mouli on it. Place it on the mouth of the Kalash, install this Kalash in the middle of the vessel in which the grains were planted.
  • Goddess Durga invocation – Invoke Goddess Durga and pray to her to accept the worship and request Mother Goddess to reside in the Kalash during this nine-day ritual.
  • Panchopachar Puja – First of all, light the lamp in front of the Kalash and all the gods and goddesses invoked. Offer incense, flowers, perfume. Offer fruits and sweets to the Kalash as Naivedya.
