Cyber criminals have devised a new method for fraud in Rohtas district. In this, cyber criminals are downloading the copy of the FIR from the NCRB website and impersonating police officers and cheating the accused in the case. The swindlers are trying to extort money from the accused by calling them on the pretext of providing them relief in the case. Rohtas SP Roshan Kumar has disclosed this incident and appealed to the residents of the district to be cautious of such cyber frauds.

Cyber thugs are now downloading the copy of the FIR from the NCRB website and calling the accused registered in it. They are demanding money by pretending to be police officers and promising to help or provide relief in the case. Rohtas Police has received information about one such case, preliminary investigation of which has been started.
SP made this appeal
Rohtas SP Roshan Kumar has appealed to the people of the district that if any accused receives a call in which he impersonates a police officer and asks for money in exchange for help or relief in the case, then it should be immediately informed to the police. He clarified that information or contact related to any case is made only from authorized government numbers. There is a need to avoid any fake call.

SP Roshan Kumar also said that the police is continuously running a campaign to identify such cyber thugs in the district and take strict legal action against them. He said that any such call should be immediately informed to the police, so that these criminals can be arrested as soon as possible and sent behind the bars.
