A woman lives alone in a house on a mountain, lives without electricity and internet, goes miles away for shopping!

In today’s times, if someone says that he lives without internet or electricity, you will call him a liar or a madman. But even today there are some people who like to live amidst nature, away from technology and the hustle and bustle of the city. Everyone is surprised to see such people. A similar lifestyle is that of a woman from Britain (Woman live in lonely house on mountain) who is 49 years old and lives alone in a house at the height of a mountain with her pet dog. The surprising thing is that his nearest neighbors live several kilometers away.

According to The Sun website, Sue Edwards and her pet dog Jura live in the Lake District of Britain (Britain’s loneliest house). The name of the house where she lives is Skidaw House which is at an altitude of 1550 feet. You will be surprised to know that the nearest road from the house is about 5 kilometers away. To reach there, only vehicles like 4×4 pickup van are required, which can easily travel on rough roads. This house is actually a hostel, where people can come and stay during weekends. Sue takes care of it.

there is no electricity in the house
There is no electricity in the hostel, hence our own electricity is generated through solar panels. Apart from this, there is no supply of drinking water; for that, water from a nearby spring is used. For the last two and a half years, Sue has converted her house into a hostel. The surprising thing is that she is living her life almost without internet. Almost because she uses up to 10MB of WiFi data in a month. They have WhatsApp, but when someone sends a heavy video on it, it becomes difficult for them to download it.

Every Tuesday, she brings home a week’s worth of groceries from a nearby supermarket, which takes her 50 minutes by car to reach. Sue was a farmer’s daughter but she found the farmer’s work boring. When she turned 18, she became a teacher. After that she started working in hostels. The old warden of this hostel had given birth to a child and was leaving the job. Then Sue decided that she would become warden. Let us tell you that this house was built in 1829. Then it was Keepers Lodge and Grouse Shooting Base. The building was then divided into two parts, one part for the gamekeeper and his family and the other part for the shepherd and family. In 1957 the house was sold to a local farmer. A shepherd lived there for a long time. Now Sue takes care of him. Her own home is in York, England, where she goes during winters. Then this place is taken only as a private rental hostel.
