Kannauj News: The court has sentenced four people to 10 years imprisonment in the case of molestation of teenage girls in Gursahaiganj Kotwali area seven years ago.

Four people have been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for breaking into the house, arresting the mother and molesting her two minor daughters in front of her. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 13,500 on all the culprits. Government advocate told that on 23 February 2017, a woman was sleeping in the house with her daughters in a village of Gursahaiganj Kotwali area. At 1 o’clock in the night, Azam, Qasim alias Mehtiya, Bhura alias Salim and Aamir from the same village climbed the wall and entered his house.

These people caught hold of the woman and gagged her. After this the accused molested his two minor daughters. He was also beaten up when he protested. The accused had also threatened to kill if they complained to the police. The police sent the charge sheet against all four to the court. On Saturday, Special Judge (POCSO Act) Alka Yadav sentenced convicts Azam, Qasim, Bhura and Aamir to ten years imprisonment. In case of non-payment of fine, he will have to undergo additional imprisonment of four months.
