In an award function, Shahrukh had narrated an anecdote about his honeymoon. Actually, Shahrukh had lied to Gauri after marriage. Shahrukh had told that he had told Gauri that he would go to Paris for honeymoon. But at that time Shahrukh did not have that much money. When the shooting of the film Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman was being done in Darjeeling, Shahrukh took Gauri to Darjeeling, calling her Paris.
Writer and associate director Manoj Lalwani had also revealed in an interview that the expenses of Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s honeymoon were borne by the makers of the film. Manoj told that it was very cold in Darjeeling and there was no heater in Shahrukh’s room, then Manoj gave his heater to Shahrukh and Gauri.
Shahrukh and Gauri were married on 25 October 1991. The couple has three children, Aryan, Suhana and Abram Khan. Suhana Khan made her debut in the industry with the film The Archies.
