Sonam had told in an interview that when she was studying in Singapore at the age of 15, she worked as a waitress in a Chinese restaurant.
Did the job for pocket money
Before entering Bollywood, Sonam Kapoor studied theater and arts at the United World College of South-East Asia, Singapore. It was only after his studies that he entered the world of acting. For her pocket money in Singapore, Sonam worked as a waitress in a Chinese restaurant.
Sonam Kapoor started her journey by assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the film ‘Black’. Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee were seen in lead roles in ‘Black’. After being an assistant director, Sonam made her debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Saawariya’. Ranbir Kapoor was seen in the lead role with Sonam in this film. After ‘Saawariya’, Sonam has worked in many films like ‘Neerja’, ‘Veere Di Wedding’, ‘Ayesha’, ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga’, ‘Sanju’.
After marriage, Sonam has now kept some distance from acting. No film of his has been released for a long time. At present she is busy raising her son Vayu.
