Mahoba News: Police have recovered ganja worth Rs 62 lakh from the container and arrested two people. The accused were making an intelligence cabin in a container from Visakhapatnam and taking it to Chandigarh.

A joint team of Narcotics, STF and Kabrai police station caught a container full of ganja being sent from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to Chandigarh via Uttar Pradesh. The ganja in the container was kept in a separately constructed cabin. The price of two quintals of 51 kg ganja is said to be Rs 62.75 lakh. The team has also arrested two accused.

A four-member team led by Lucknow STF team and Narcotics team in-charge Pankaj Dubey was searching for clues in the ganja smuggling case for a week. On Wednesday morning, the team received information that a container filled with ganja was going from Kanpur-Sagar National Highway towards Kabrai intersection. Then the team caught hold of the container. More than half the container was empty. A separate intelligence cabin was built inside the container. Which was covered with an iron sheet. When the team called for a gas cutter and cut the cabin, a huge quantity of ganja was recovered.
