Bihar Education Department has issued strict instructions to maintain decent behavior and dignified environment in all schools and educational institutions of the state. According to this instruction issued on October 9, 2024, the behavior of teachers and non-teaching staff coming to schools wearing informal (casual) attire like jeans and T-shirts has been considered inappropriate. Apart from this, dance, DJ, disco and other low level activities through social media have also been banned in the school premises.

The Education Department has also directed that teachers and other personnel should come to the school premises in formal dress only. As per the education calendar, only decent and disciplined programs will be allowed on special occasions. All district education officers have been directed to ensure strict compliance with this order.
