The accountant of the area collected Rs 500 from a widowed woman resident of village Simrao in Jalesar tehsil area of Etah for filing the report on the income certificate. Its video is going viral on social media. The woman has also complained to the SDM.
Laksho Devi, a resident of Nagla Kyar village of Majra caste village of Simrao, said that she had applied through the Public Service Center to get the income proof made. In the name of getting the report done, accountant Rajkumar Baghel asked for a bribe of Rs 500. Told the accountant about his compulsion, but the accountant clearly said that he will not file the report unless he pays Rs 500. Also threatened to cancel the application. Under compulsion, he got Rs 500 from his grandson. SDM Vipin Moral said that action will be taken after investigating the viral video and allegations.
