Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Movie Review: Another great film of Rajkumar Rao

Nowadays, it is very difficult to guess a film by watching the trailer. Many times the trailer is made in such a great way that after watching it we feel that the film will be strong… but many times we get deceived. now if the movie ‘That video of Vicky Vidya’ Talking about the trailer, I thought that the film would not be strong…it would come and go, but here I was proved wrong. There was no special excitement before watching the film, but when I came out of the theater after watching the film, I started laughing remembering many punches of the film. After ‘Stree 2’, this can prove to be Rajkummar Rao’s second consecutive best film, in which a combo of comedy as well as emotion was seen.

Story
So let us first tell you about the story of the film. The plot of the story is set in the 90s, where Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and Vidya (Trupti Dimri) are childhood friends in Rishikesh and their families also have a good relationship. Well, both of them get married and both are asked to go to Vaishno Devi from their home, but Vicky takes Vidya to Goa for their honeymoon. To make his wedding night memorable, Vicky makes a video of that night. After coming back, both of them watch that video. But then an incident happens. Vicky’s house is burgled, in which his CDs, CD player, TV, everything is stolen. Vicky does not tell this to Vidya, because he feels that if he tells this to Vidya, she will leave him. Then a tremendous comedy sequence begins in the film, during which Vicky also gets entangled in a murder case. Now will Vicky be able to find that video of Vidya? Will Vicky be able to prove himself innocent in the murder case? To know the answers to these questions, you will have to go to the theater and watch the entire film. The story of the film is quite strong and there is newness in it too. This film full of comedy will not let you get bored.

what is interesting?
There are 4 interesting things in the film, which can attract the audience to the theatres. First of all, you will see Mallika Sherawat in the role of Vicky’s sister, who is making a comeback on the big screen after years. Besides, Shehnaz Gill will also be seen doing a cameo in the film. There is a song in this film ‘Sajna Ve Sajna’ which has been filmed on Shehnaz. Apart from this, after ‘Stree 2’, once again in this film you will get to hear a song of Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh, whose lyrics are ‘Chumma’. The surprise is that he is seen sharing the screen with Rajkumar and Trupti Dimri in this film and the last interesting thing of the film is to see Daler Mehndi performing in a song of the film, that too on his song ‘Na Na Na Re’. But.

Direction and Music
The way Raj Shandilya has directed the film is really praiseworthy. He has shot the 90s brilliantly. He has kept an eye on every detail, be it the costumes, the locations or the look of the star cast. While watching the movie, you will be sucked into the 90s. A lot of attention has been paid to the pace of the film, whether it is the first half or the second half of the film, both are tremendous and the comedy punches are so brilliant that you will laugh even without wanting to. At the same time, what amazing artistry Sachin-Jigar have shown in music. Even though most of the songs in the film are old, they have been recreated in such a way that they sound good, while the purity of the original track of the song has also been maintained.

shortcomings
Whenever a good film is made, it definitely has some shortcomings. Same is the case with this film also. There are some scenes in the film which were not needed. Forcibly bringing ‘woman’ in a comedy film for 10 minutes and making the same horror. That too, the arrival of a ‘woman’ like ghost in a red pair in the cemetery is something that cannot be digested. Yes, you definitely laugh but I don’t think this scene was needed in this film.

To watch or not to watch?
The film is good, entertaining. You will definitely want to watch this film once because 97 percent of this film is family friendly and the 3 percent that is there, you can manage a little with the family. There is no filth of any kind in the film, which you would want to avoid. Go to the cinema, watch it and return home laughing.

rating
From my side, 3.5 stars to Rajkumar Rao and Trupti Dimri’s film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’.
