Islamic Songs At Durga Puja Pandal: The Hindu community is being continuously harassed by Islamic fundamentalists in Bangladesh. Sometimes their sentiments are being hurt. Meanwhile, a group of fundamentalists sang Islamic songs on the stage of Durga Puja in Chittagong city.
After this, anger spread among the Hindus present there. The incident took place last Thursday (October 10) around 7 pm on the stage of a puja ceremony at JM Sen Hall in Rahmatganj area of Chittagong. However, the police have registered a case regarding the incident.
Police assured to take action against the culprits
According to the report of news agency ANI, Puja Committee President Asees Bhattacharya said, “We were busy welcoming the guests, some people started singing Islamic songs. The authority will take legal action against them.” At the same time, the police said that they are investigating the incident. Those who are guilty in any case will be brought to justice.
PM Modi’s gifted crown also stolen
Earlier on October 10, the crown of Goddess Kali Mata was stolen from Jeshoreshwari temple in Shyamnagar. this crown prime minister Narendra Modi Gifted the temple during his visit in March, 2021. The theft took place between 2.00 pm and 2.30 pm on Thursday, when temple priest Dilip Mukherjee had left after the day’s puja.
According to The Daily Star report, cleaning workers later noticed that the crown was missing from the head of the deity. Inspector Taijul Islam of Shyamnagar police station said that the CCTV footage of the temple is being scrutinized to identify the thief. At the same time, the Indian High Commission in Dhaka has expressed concern over the report of theft of the crown.
“We have noted reports of theft of the crown gifted to the Jeshoreshwari Kali Temple by PM Modi during his visit to Bangladesh in 2021. We express deep concern and urge the Government of Bangladesh to report the theft,” the High Commission said in a post on Twitter. Urge to investigate, recover the crown and take strict action against the culprits.”
