This much punishment for traveling under the influence of alcohol

According to the rules of Indian Railways, if someone is found drunk while traveling in a train. Or he is traveling under the influence of alcohol. And in such a situation, he misbehaves or does something in the train. Then action can be taken against that person under Section 145 of the Railway Act 1989. In such a situation, the passenger’s ticket may be confiscated. Along with this, a fine of Rs 500 can also be imposed on him. So, a jail sentence of 6 months can also be given. Or there could be all three punishments.

There will be punishment even for smoking cigarettes

Whenever you travel by train. So you must have seen it written in almost every coach there, ‘Smoking is prohibited’ i.e. smoking is prohibited. Similarly, there is a provision for punishment for smoking cigarettes also. Under Section 167 of the Indian Railway Act 1989, if a passenger smokes a cigarette in the train, he can be fined Rs 100. Apart from this, if any employee on duty in the train is in an intoxicated state. So he can be fined Rs 500 and sentenced to 1 year imprisonment.
