Fearing police arrest, a loving couple consumed poison in a guava orchard located in Nazarpur of Mundapande police station area. The police have admitted both of them to TMU hospital in an unconscious state. A case of kidnapping of the girl was registered against the lover.
Khemkaran (24), son of Bhole Singh, resident of Indira village of Bhot police station area of Rampur district, is in love with a minor girl from the same village. The family got Khempal married somewhere else. After this he remained in contact with an inter-caste minor girl.
On September 30, both of them decided to run away from the village and get married. After the daughter’s disappearance, the father lodged a report of kidnapping of the daughter against her lover Khempal, his brothers, father and mother. After this the police started searching for both of them.
Here the loving couple came to the guava orchard in Nazarpur to hide on Saturday night. Both of them consumed poison in a chamber built in the garden. In the morning, the owner of the garden found both of them unconscious and informed the local police. Police admitted both of them to TMU.
The condition of both is said to be critical. Police inquiry revealed that the lover is said to be Lodhi Rajput and the girl is said to be of Saini caste. Both families are against the marriage.
