You must have heard the story of spewing gold from the earth many times. But, we are going to tell about a hill which is spewing gold. A hill in Gaya district of Bihar remains a topic of discussion. For years, Gulelwa hill situated in Ajay Nagar village of Neemchak Bathani block of Gaya district has been lying silent. But a few years ago, due to digging with machines, the silence here has ended. Near Ajay Nagar village, the team of Mining Department ran the drill machine day and night, packed it in more than 500 boxes and took with them the stones shining like gold. During this time, villagers living near Gulelwa hill were also working with the team of the concerned department to extract gold. According to the villagers, the Geological Survey of India, which was monitoring the excavation work from 2010 to 2012, had revealed the presence of gold inside the hill. After that, from 2013 onwards, the team of the concerned department used to camp on Gulelwa hill, drill 150 to 170 meters depth with drill machine, seal many stones with gold like shine in boxes and send them to labs in New Delhi and Kolkata for testing.
Team is coming again, villagers are happy, said now they will get employment
The same Gulelwa is alive again today among the villagers living near the hill. People have told that the team of the department related to the said hill has camped twice and took away stones containing gold in hundreds of boxes from here. But, then information has been received that the team of the said department is coming to these hills again to extract minerals. Now we are going to change people’s days. If we start extracting gold containing stones then the villagers will also get employment opportunities.
The mountains have been excavated twice, now it is the turn for the third time.
In this regard, Dashrath Rajvanshi ward member, resident of Ajay Nagar village, said that a few years ago, a team of officers had come to survey Gulelwa hill, during which we had also worked with the team. Officials had told that there is quantity of gold here. The first page was machined for about 2 years. It was deepened at various places using a drill machine. It was taken out like a gulli in a round pipe. Which had a shine like gold. It was sent packed in a box. 50 to 60 boxes were found in one borewell. A similar box appeared in the second page also. He told that the team is coming again. Due to which we also have hope that the people here will get employment opportunities.
The story of this land is related to the Mahabharata period.
Questions are being raised as to what is the secret of this mountain that spews gold. According to the villagers, this hill has a connection with the Mahabharata period. The king here is from Jarasandha. Whose gold treasure is hidden here. This place is called the land of Jarasandha. Therefore it is believed that the treasure of Jarasangha is kept in this hill. That’s why gold is coming out. However, any concerned officer is refraining from saying anything in this regard.
