India Mobile Congress: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) 2024 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi at 10 am on Tuesday, which is being organized by the International Telecommunication Union. The World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) is the governing body for the standardization work of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the digital technology agency of the United Nations. This conference is organized every four years. For the first time it will be organized in India and the Asia-Pacific region. This is an important global event. It will include more than three thousand entrepreneurs, policy-makers and technical experts from more than 190 countries, who will represent the telecommunication, digital and ICT sectors.
Big update may come regarding 6G, Artificial Intelligence
WTSA 2024 will provide a platform where the future of the country’s next generation critical technologies like 6G, Artificial Intelligence (AI), IoT, Big Data, Cyber Security etc. will be discussed. Hosting the event in India will give the country an opportunity to play an important role in shaping the global telecom agenda and determining the direction of future technologies. Indian startups and research institutes are poised to gain valuable insights into developing intellectual property rights and standard essential patents.
There will be talk on innovation ecosystem
