Maharashtra Coronavirus Update: On Tuesday, 33 new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in Maharashtra. One person has died due to corona infection. With these additional cases, the state’s total number of cases has risen to 81,36,978, while the death toll has risen to 1,48,420, said the health department’s bulletin. Since December 24, when the health department began screening passengers arriving from abroad, 4,28,944 international passengers have arrived at Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur airports. The bulletin said that out of these 9,803 passengers were RT-PCR tested and 23 positive swab samples were sent for genome sequencing. All positive samples have been referred for WGS (Whole Genome Sequencing). Of these 23 RT-PCR positive patients identified so far, 11 are in Maharashtra and five of them are from Mumbai, three from Pune, one each from Navi Mumbai, Amravati and Sangli.

According to the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at 8 am on Tuesday, so far 5,30,726 people have lost their lives due to infection in the country. The daily infection rate is 0.05 percent, while the weekly infection rate is 0.09 percent. According to the latest data, corona virus The number of patients under treatment for infection has come down to 2,035, which is 0.01 percent of the total cases. In the last 24 hours, a decrease of 84 cases has been registered in the number of patients under treatment. At the same time, the national rate of recovery of patients in the country is 98.80 percent.

According to statistics, a total of 4,41,48,472 people have become infection free in India so far, while the death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.19 percent. According to the website of the Ministry of Health, 220.17 crore doses of anti-Kovid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
