Story of ‘Jigra’
Talking about the story of ‘Jigra’, in the film Satya (Alia Bhatt) and Ankur (Vedang Raina) are orphans. Satya, being the elder, is more protective of her brother and is like a parent to him. He lives with a rich and powerful relative. Satya never feels that he or his brother are a part of their family.
Ankur is a programmer. Satya and Ankur are good friends with Kabir, the son of a relative with whom they live. They go to Hanshi Dao, an island in South East Asia, to present a commercial idea. One night, when Ankur and Kabir are returning to their hotel room, they are caught by the local police. Kabir is a drug dealer but Ankur would have been wrongly implicated.
