The matter has come to light from Baunsi police station area of Banka district. Where a young man was smuggling liquor with his artificial legs. He was wearing a plastic artificial leg, in which he had hidden liquor bottles. When the police caught him and got his legs opened, several liquor bottles came out one by one from his artificial legs.
The disabled person was running away after seeing the police.
Police was conducting vehicle checking operation near Guria turn on Hansdiha-Bhagalpur main road adjacent to Jharkhand border in Baunsi police station area of Banka district. During this time, when the disabled person riding the scooter reached there, he got scared after seeing the police and started trying to run away from there.
The police became suspicious after seeing the disabled youth running away, then they chased him and caught him. When the young man was brought to the police station and examined, it was found that one of his legs was completely artificial and he was disabled. But when his artificial leg was opened, foreign liquor bottles started coming out from his feet. After which even the police were surprised to see this.
Used to smuggle liquor through fake legs
The name of the young man is Mahesh Kumar Lal and he is a resident of Ishakchak in Bhagalpur district. During police interrogation, he told that he had been smuggling foreign liquor for a long time through his artificial legs. He used to take liquor from Jharkhand to Bhagalpur and smuggle liquor there.
During this time, when his scooter was examined, many bottles of liquor were also found in the basement under the scooter. During this time, the police have recovered 15 liquor bottles from the disabled youth. At present, the police have arrested the disabled youth and have registered an FIR against him under the sections of the Production Act and sent him to jail.
