An IIT student has committed suicide in Delhi. Police did not find any suicide note from the student’s room. Initial police investigation has revealed that Yash, originally a resident of Jharkhand, was in depression.

Kumar Yash, a student of Delhi-based Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), committed suicide by hanging himself in his Aravali hostel room last night. He was a second year MSc student at IIT. Police did not find any suicide note from the student’s room. Initial police investigation has revealed that Yash, originally a resident of Jharkhand, was suffering from depression. He was also undergoing treatment. He had also taken an appointment with the doctor at IIT hospital for October 29. Yash’s family members have been informed about this.
